“I better understanding of what a true leader was and how that may play into roles within TAR, my personal and professional life. Leadership TAR is an invaluable program that helped me in opening my eyes to leadership skills and understanding, for which has made me a better leader within TAR, MTAR and as a Managing Broker within our industry.”
"I am currently in Murfreesboro, married with 2 boys and another on the way. I am line officer and President of MTAR and President elect of TN State Chapter of CRS. I’ve just gotten finished with serving as line officer and President of Leadership Rutherford for the Rutherford County
Chamber of Commerce. I also teach a couples bible study at my church."

Leadership TAR is probably the best thing I have ever undertaken. It gave me a tremendous understanding not only of how the Realtor organization works, but also the different perspectives on real estate and association practices across the state. I also established relationships with Realtors across the state that are ongoing and a productive part of my real estate career.
I have just opened a brand new RE/MAX in Winchester, TN. I have served as Treasurer, President-elect, President and MLS director for the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors. I have served on the TAR forms committee, Strat planning committee, Education PAG, and am the current GRI state Chapter president. I have served as an ambassador for the Tullahoma Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer for Partners for Healing and Hospice of the Highland Rim and am the current Treasurer for Community Playhouse, Inc.
I recommend it very highly. Everyone I know that has participated in the program has continued to help in leading the Realtor organization in a positive way. There is no better way to become involved.
Charlotte Ann Edwards, caedwards@realtracs.comI learned about the vast network that is a part of our industry and the many layers of professionalism that are a part of our local,state and national associations. The program was excellent thanks to Pug's planning and direction. Pug brought in great presenters and had a full agenda for us. We went to interesting places....Evins Mill, Montgomery Bell State Park and we all gained knowledge and information about Real Estate and each other.
I served on the Board of Directors of GNAR and most of my roles are listed on my BobParks.com website and on CharlotteAnnEdwards.com. I chaired the Middle Tennesse Realtors convention and have served on many committees for GNAR and TAR.

"It is a truly worthwhile program. You hone in on many leadership skills and learn what “servant leadership” is all about. It will change your life. Not to mention the awesome friends I made. I gained knowledge on how different organizations work/run a cross the State. I brushed up on many skills, Roberts Rules, public speaking, team work."
Cindy has seved as State President of CRS and has worked with WCR on a local level as a mentor and she is also works in Real Estate training.
Annette Flinn, aflinn@charter.net
"I gained the realization that I prefer to lead from behind, more as a behind the scenes mentor to point people in the right direction. The confidence to step back, look at the problem or situation slowly and try to determine a course of action productive for a group and not an individual. Since the reintroduction of the LEADERSHIP Program I am very pleased that some of the participants have blossomed beyond that which they may have thought themselves capable."
"I have served as NETAR Director."
Sally Isom, sallyisom@aol.com
Lisa Lethcoe, lisa@lisalethcoe.com
"I was able to develop my leadership qualities and self-confidence with knowledge and skill-building exercises. This program was one of the best and most memorable opportunities for leadership training and personal growth that I've ever been involved with. "
"I am currently serving as Vice-Chair of the TAR Residential Forms Committee and I was President of the Sumner Assn. of Realtors in 2005."
Marlene Rakow, marlene@marlenerakow.com
Mary Sharp, mwsharp@bellsouth.net
"I got an overall insight into my personality type, as well as being able to recognize the personality types of my co-horts, as I pursue leadership paths in my industry. What is more, I learned the intricate details of the functions,
projects, accomplishments and Goals at the TAR level of the Real Estate Pyramid More importantly, I gained lasting friendships with my fellow classmates."
"Since my Leadership TAR Graduation in 2003, I have participated in the
following:
1) Chairperson of the Affordable Housing Initiatives Committee - 2004 and 2005;
2) Represented NAR at SMART GROWTH CONFERENCE, DENVER, CO (Speaker) 2006;

4) TAR DIRECTOR 2003 THRU 2006
5) INSTRUCTOR for MAAR, CORE COURSE AND Affordable Housing Course
In my community, I am on the Downtown Parking Board under the auspices of the Center City Commission, and was appointed to this position by the Shelby County Mayor, A. C. Wharton.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my Leadership TAR participation and Retreats. I hold my graduation from LEADERSHIP TAR, as one of my Greatest Accomplishments—along with graduation from U of M at age 49.5 (1995), and my service on the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Board of Directors 2002-2003.
I love real estate, and have been in it since 1973-1975 first, and from 1984 until present. It is my belief that we, as REALTORS, are helping people make one of the biggest decisions they will ever make in a lifetime AND to make one
of the largest purchases they will ever make in a lifetime.
Therefore, is my endeavor to be as knowledgeable as I can about the buying and selling processes, as well stay knowledgeable on what my industry's Trade organizations have to offer in my quest to be ONE OF THE greatest Real Estate Agents and/or LEADERS in my area.”
