GRI in 2012

To Earn the GRI Designation…

The GRI Program in Tennessee in 2012 and beyond gives students BOTH shorter up-to-date courses AND much greater flexibility and choice (through Elective options) in how you structure your GRI studies to fit your personal career and business goals!

At least 90 total hours of GRI-Accredited courses are required for the GRI designation (including the six required one-day courses).

To earn the GRI, students will complete all six of the following brand new GRI Courses:

GRI 401: Doing Things the Right Way: Ethics & Professionalism - 8 hrs. CE

GRI 402: Staying In Business and Out of Court - 8 hrs. CE

GRI 403: Working More Effectively With Buyers - 8 hrs. CE

GRI 404: Working More Effectively With Sellers - 8 hrs. CE

GRI 405: Mastering Forms and Contracts - 8 hrs. CE

GRI 406: Tips, Tools & Technologies For Your Business - 8 hrs. CE

The above Required Courses will all be offered as one-day classroom courses, and all of these are fully CE-accredited. Early-bird tuition for any 8 hr. Classroom GRI course is $95, one-half of our previous tuition for two-day GRI courses.

NOTE: In keeping with NAR's GRI Policy, the required courses for the designation (GRI 401-406, or their equivalents) must be completed within a five-year period.

Taking the six required courses above gives a student a total of 48 hours toward his/her GRI designation.  Students can earn the remaining 42 hours of GRI Elective Credits they need in a variety of ways, customizing their education to fit their particular career needs and interests!

Our E-Class (distance-learning) GRI courses are ALSO offered as an option for people (although they have been retitled to show which of the new requirements they meet):

GRI 401-402: Professionalism in Real Estate (formerly GRI 1) - 16 hrs. CE

GRI 403-404: Smart Marketing (formerly GRI 2) - 16 hrs. CE

GRI 405 Plus: From Offer to Contract to Closing (formerly GRI 4) - 16 hrs. CE

GRI 406 Plus: Systems for Success (formerly GRI 5) - 16 hrs. CE

GRI 412: Financing the Succesful transaction (formerly GRI 3) - 16 hrs. CE

GRI 413: Sticky Situations (formerly GRI 6) - 16 hrs. CE

Course numbers 407 and higher denote GRI Elective courses ...courses that may be taken to satisfy the 42 hours of requirements for GRI Elective credits. NOTE: The GRI 405 Plus and GRI 406 Plus E-Class courses satisfy the requirements for GRI 405 and 406, but each also gives participants 8 hours of GRI Elective credit.

Students may “mix and match” classroom and E-Class courses, taking some of their required courses one way and some in the other format, or all of them either way. E-Class courses -- all of which are accredited for 16 hours of CE -- will still be priced at $190 for early-bird registrations.

TREEF also offers additional 400-level GRI courses that can be taken to earn GRI Elective Credits. Several of these courses are currently being developed; the first of these has already been approved and has been offered prior to 2012:
